🟥 Der Toyota GR010 #8 dominierte die meiste Zeit des Rennens und sichert dem japanischen Hersteller seinen fünften 6hFuji Sieg in Folge und den achten Sieg unter dem FiA WEC Banner.

Eine Teamorder, zum Positionswechsel, bei den Japangern, ermöglichte erst den Sieg der #8. Die Poleposition holte sich der Teamchef: Kamui Kobayashi auf dem Schwesterfahrzeug. Nach dem Wechsel im Rennen konnten Brendon Hartley, Sebastien Buemi und Ryo Hirakawa einen Vorsprung von fast einer Minute auf die #7 rausfahren.

Auf P3 kam die Alpine Mannschaft ins Ziel. Im Pech waren die beiden Peugeot 9X8 #93 und #94 die auf den POsition 4. und 5. die ZIelflagge sahen.

🟦 In der LMP2 waren es Dries Vanthoor, Robin Frjins und Sean Geleal die den #31 WRT Orecar zum Erfolg in Japan über die 6 Stunden brachten. Am Ende ging es beim Spritpoker darum ob die Jota Mannschaft auf der #38 nochmal tanken müsste oder eben nicht. Dies klärte sich knapp 3min vor Schluss, als auch #38 zum kraftstoff nachfassen in die Pitlane kam. Das Podium komplettierte das Schwesterfahrzeug #28.

🟩 Ferrari holte sich einen dominanten Doppelsieg, wobei Ale Pier Guidi und James Calado mit dem Sieg Ihr Führung gegenüber Kevin Estre und Michael Chrsiten im Manthey Porsche 911RSR #92 weiter ausbauen konnten. Estre und Christensen wurden 3. während das zweite AF COrse Ferrari mit Anotnio Fucoo und Daniel Serra 2. wurde.

Ben Keating holte sich neben der Poleposition zusammen mit Henrique Charves und Marco Sorensen einen verdienten Sieg in Japan, nachdem Chaves in Monza den Aston Martin Vantage GTE #33 noch komplett zerlegt hatte. Auf P2 kamen die Iron-Dames ins Ziel gefolgt vom zweiten Aston Martin #777 des TF Sport Teams.

In der WEC geht es am 12.10.2022 nach Bahrain zum Finalen 8 Stunden Rennen …

🇯🇵 𝙒𝙀𝘾 – 6H Fuji – Race: Toyota unstoppable en route to home 1-2 🏆

🟥 The #8 Toyota dominated much of the race to take the Japanese marque’s fifth consecutive 6H Fuji win, and eighth in the WEC era.

A team order inside the first two hours swapped the two GR010s, and from then onwards the #8 was able to extend and hold a near minute lead over the #7. The team claiming set-up differences created the disparity between the two cars.

Alpine score another podium and are tied on points with the #8 heading into Bahrain, as troubles for Peugeot see the #93 and #94 finish 4th and 5th respectively.

🟦 #31 WRT scored another LMP2 win as strategy allowed them to hold on to their long-standing lead in the final ten minutes.

There was question over whether the eventual second place finisher #38 JOTA would be able to make one less stop, but a splash of fuel with three minutes to go returned the lead to WRT.

The #28 JOTA rounded off the podium after being spun on the first lap, Aberdein climbing the order in sensational fashion.

🟩 Ferrari dominated an unusually quiet race in GTE PRO, #51 winning ahead of #52 and extending their championship lead over the #92 Porsche which finished third.

The AF Corse-run 488 GTEs had a considerably pace advantages over the field, with both #91 Porsche and #64 Corvette unable to overturn the deficit of early track limits drive-throughs.

🟧 TF Sport recovered from a difficult Monza to win in dominating fashion ahead of the #85 Iron Dames Ferrari.

The #33 Aston Martin was able to extend a lead in the first two hours, and stay clear of some intense fighting for the podium spots – eventually being taken by Iron Dames and the home heroes #777 D’Station Racing.
